Window Cleaners using Water Fed Pole system and living in a hard water area, will need to use a Reverse Osmosis System in order to bring the ppm reading of the water down low enough.
Reverse osmosis (RO) works by forcing water under great pressure against a semi-permeable membrane that allows water molecules to pass through while excluding most contaminants. RO is the most thorough method of large-scale water purification available. If the water is then passed through a Water is passed between a De-ionisation (DI) unit which is made up of positive electrode and a negative electrode. Ion selective membranes allow the positive ions to separate from the water toward the negative electrode and the negative ions toward the positive electrode. High purity de-ionised water results. The water is usually passed through a reverse osmosis unit first to remove non-ionic organic contaminants. This water is the rated as ZERO TDS usually only if de-ionised .
